It doesn’t take much to knock on the door of your elderly neighbour just to say hello and check on them. This lets them know you care, and that they can call on you if need be – but be mindful that many of our elderly are very proud and don’t ask for help. So please be assertive and take a little time out to check on what is actually happening behind closed doors. This poor client is legally blind and in all likelihood does not know the extent of the state of their home. Below are before and after photos of the bathroom and fridge. It took 6.5 hours for two Aussie Aged Care team members to just clean those designated areas to be cleaned thoroughly. A real eye opener. Please show some kindness to this delicate demographic in our society.
